Amon Tobin
Amon Tobin
Brazilian-born/U.K.-based Ninja Tunes electronica artist Amon Tobin built his reputation by creating chaotic soundscapes built on everything from jazz, funk, hip-hop, drum & bass, and Latin percussion to various ambient found sounds. The result of this sonic mash-up was a strange mix of head-nodding grooves and layered cacophony. Tobin relocated to the musical hotbed of Montreal in 2002, and in 2005 he composed and released the soundtrack to the third volume of the popular video game SPLINTER CELL, thus introducing his music to a completely new and different set of listeners.
